We believe it’s all men,
until it’s no men.

We’ve heard enough about what abusers will not get to do with their lives if convicted. We never hear about what she lost. The opportunities shadowed by their abuse. The doors closed for simply setting a boundary. How hard it is to keep acting like life is normal after a traumatic experience.

“She didn’t get to…” is a safe space to tell the story of a life that was affected, forever changed, and left carrying the cost of someone else’s abuse. It can be yours. It can be the life of someone you know.

Write from a symbolic “she”. Either yours or someone else’s story. We want to reframe the narrative and focus on what women have lost.
